Step into Life Torquay pinks up the park
Step into Life Torquay will be turning the park pink with their Pink Super Session Day on Saturday October 28 from 8am.
The event will be run in support of the McGrath Foundation, raising money for McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities’ right across Australia to increase breast health understanding and awareness.
The local community is encouraged to join the Step into Life team by dressing up in pink and participating in a fun training session playing games and experiencing a few different Step into Life training programs, such as cardiomax, toneup and boxkick.
Prizes are on offer for the best dressed.
McGrath Foundation ambassador and director Tracy Bevan said the McGrath Foundation continues to be blown away by the support from Australian communities directly helping the Foundation in its mission to ensure every family in Australia experiencing breast cancer has access to a breast care nurse no matter where they live – and always free.
“We are proud to have funded 117 McGrath Breast Care Nurses working nationally who, together, have supported more than 50,000 families going through breast cancer,” Ms Bevan said.
“Events like this are truly helping us to make a difference; we couldn’t do it without Australians help.”
Event organiser, Rose Constance said everyone at Step into Life is excited to turn pink, get active in the fresh air and support the McGrath Foundation.
The session will be held at the Elephant Walk Foreshore, Corner of Zeally Bay Road and The Esplanade, Torquay from 8am-11am.
All ticket sales are a donation and will go directly to the McGrath Foundation.
