AUSTRALIAN comedian Daniel Muggleton is heading across the country with a string of shows spanning across a 35-date tour.

Muggleton has made a name for himself with his brightly coloured tracksuits, social commentary and crowd work, often selling out festivals around the world.

His new You May Be White, I may be Crazy tour highlights the reality of becoming a father for the first time.

Muggleton said unlike previous years, there’s a chance this show is about something.

“If I had to choose a word to describe what that is I’d say family, but remember the Fast and Furious franchise is also about family, so there’s an equal chance this show is about street racing or about me finally becoming a father.”

Exploring the challenges around becoming a parent and the responsibility of teaching his son how to be a man, the tour shines a spotlight on the new lens the comedian has on life.

Also, a point of conversation in his shows is his time spent living in the UK and how it changed his perception of Australia.

“Australians love to move overseas… for a bit,” he said.

“Very few of us move permanently because, well, we realise how good we have it back home.

“But living overseas is a great experience because that’s how you learn what’s Australian and what’s normal – which isn’t necessarily the same thing.”

Across his career, Muggleton has won awards and received five-star reviews for his talent, with recent year’s being some of his biggest.

His comedy specials have aired on Channel 7, Amazon Prime and ABC TV, while on the big stages, he has performed to sell-out crowds in Auckland and Christchurch on his first New Zealand tour.

The comedian will perform at Geelong’s National Hotel on November 27.
