Torquay Community Enterprise grants now open

THE Torquay Community Enterprise has been established to support local sporting organisations, not-for-profit organisations, events, the arts, disability, youth, aged, the environment, community safety and major projects.

The Torquay Branch of the Bendigo Bank contributes to the Torquay Community Enterprise.

Funding is administered by an independent volunteer board of directors who are all local community members.

Applications are welcome from clubs, associations and groups located in Torquay, Jan Juc, Bellbrae, Freshwater Creek and Connewarre areas.

Applications for grants up to $2,000 can be made by downloading an application from the TCE website at torquaycommunityenterprise.org.au.

All applications must meet these criteria to be considered:

• Local community (postcodes 3228, 3227, 3216) is the target beneficiary
• Project is not currently funded or able to access funds from other sources and has an ABN
• Applicant is able to use the funding within the required timeframe and provide acquittal details
• Applicant is willing to recognise TCE as the provider of funds with appropriate signage, advertising or newsletter acknowledgements
• Applicant is able to be present at the TCE Grant Handover presentation at Surf Coast Hotel at 5.30pm on Thursday November 30.
