Torquay SLSC farewells two members

Torquay Surf Life Saving Club has said farewell to two of its members, Ken Newbound and George Packham, who died recently. Mr Newbound, a life member of the Torquay SLSLC, was an integral part of the club’s rebuild and a continual contributor. Mr Packham joined the club in 1949 and rowed in the first Victorian championships featuring surf boats held at Torquay in 1950. He was also boat captain from 1951 to 1954.
