World Day of Prayer celebrations

St Therese Catholic Church in Torquay is the host church for this year’s World Day of Prayer Celebrations, which will take place on March 4 from 2pm. This year’s World Day of Prayer focuses on Cuba, with a one-hour Gospel of Mark 9:7 – “Anyone who welcomes a child in my name, welcomes me.” More than three million people in over 170 countries join in the annual service and contribute to a project for the country chosen each year.
