Yogi Peace Club celebrates store opening
A LOCAL Surf Coast business has started a new chapter by introducing their products into a store.
Yogi Peace Club officially launched their products in store last Thursday (April 17) with a concept store inside the existing Reef outlet, located in Torquay’s Baines Cresent.
The business was founded by yoga teacher Emma Barr in 2014, with the goal of creating sustainable, high-quality yoga products after noticing a gap in the market.
Ms Barr said the expansion into a store was driven by the huge following in the local community, particularly as a yoga teacher.

“So many of my students were coming into class using really poor-quality mats and then I wanted to share with them what it’s like to experience a Yogi Peace Club mat.
“By having the store it means all of those local customers can purchase and feel the quality of the mat and see how beautiful they are in person.
“Now my yoga classes are filled with Yogi Peace Club mats because everyone is sick of using inferior quality and wanting that better quality eco yoga mat.
“It’s nice to have a store that the local community come into and try all the products.”
The store stocks men’s and women’s footwear, alongside clothing.

The official launch of the concept store involved the two brands, Reef and Yogi Peace Club, coming together for the evening.
With the Bells Beach Pro happening down the road, the launch was well attended by team riders.
Since Yogi Peace Club’s beginning, the brand has gone on to win the Best Eco Yoga Mat in the Clean and Conscious Awards in 2023 and 2024.
The store is open seven days a week at 18 Baines Cresent.
