A TRIO of Torquay businesses have just opened a one-stop shop for installing not only the pool but also what goes around it.

Narellan Pools Geelong, Outdoor Vision Landscaping and Surf Coast Pool Supplies are now all operating from a new warehouse and office in the West Coast Business Park.

Established in Sydney 50 years ago, Narellan Pools has become Australia’s leading pool manufacturer of technologically advanced fibreglass pools, expanding to locations across the nation.

Outdoor Vision Landscaping are experts in outdoor lifestyle spaces, with more than 15 years of industry experience.

Surf Coast Pool Supplies provides a range of supplies and accessories for your pool, including pool equipment, spa equipment, heating, spare parts, toys, and cleaning and maintenance.

Narellan Pools Geelong director and licenced builder Steve Gatter said the three businesses worked closely together to deliver the clients’ needs.

“Whether it’s pools, pool maintainence, a basketball court… whenever you need to deal with a multitude of businesses, this is basically all under the one roof; we deal with the whole shebang.”

He said this resulted in considerable cost and time savings for the customer.

“We’ve got a very fluid system, we basically schedule everything from start to finish, so we can control the whole thing; there’s no outside sources we need to worry about.

“And all the services we use are our own staff. We’ve got 35 staff, and we use them all for the one thing.”

Mr Gatter said Narellan Pools was Australia’s oldest swimming pool company, and all of its pools and equipment were manufactured in Australia.

“That’s the difference between us and most of our other competitors, we’re actually in control of our product.”

He said Narellan Pools Geelong had installed somewhere between 2,500 and 3,000 pools across the Geelong region since 2004.

“We use our own staff, we’ve got our own builders, we’re an actual buisness team instead of everything being subcontractors, we’ve probably got one of Australia’s widest selections of swimming pools, and we’re looking at doing a whole new range soon.”

Customers can expect to have their pool in the ground about 12 weeks after signing a contract. Mr Gatter said the wait had blown out to as long as 18 months over the height of the COVID-19 pandemic because of demand, but the timeline had been brought back to a more typical 12 weeks since then.
