A day on the green for Kithbrooke and Star of the Sea
Winners are grinners for Star of the Sea bowlers who bet Kithbrooke Country Club 13-12. The winning team from back to front: Ron Chandler, Andy Pressegh, Geoff Kendall, Joan Davies Wendy Sanderson, Kaye Kendall and Bruce Davies.
KITHBROOKE Country Club bowlers challenged Star of the Sea to an inaugural match on their Bellbrae green on February 7, with Star of the Sea bowling to a narrow 13-12 victory.
Residents of Star of the Sea Retirement Village were delighted to be invited to participate in a lawn bowls match by residents of neighbouring Kithbrooke Park Country Club.
Fourteen bowlers took to the spacious greens on a lovely summer’s afternoon enjoying good company, friendly rivalry and refreshments after the game.
It was a very competitive close game with Star of the Sea winning by a small margin, all present look forward to a return challenge in the near future.
