February 12, 2016 BY

WORLD-renowned Marcus Oldham College will bring together the movers and shakers from regional agribusinesses to celebrate an evening of innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship.

This exclusive invitation-only event, “Innovate the Plate”, will take place Thursday February 18 at The Food Purveyor Warehouse in Little Fyans Street Geelong.

The event will feature award-winning guest chefs Nathan Veach and Ashley Kinnersley-King who will prepare a feast using regional produce.

Nathan Veach moved to Australia 10 years ago with his wife Kate and over those years he has worked in many areas of hospitality.

Three years ago they opened Bistro at Banks, a French-inspired bistro located at Banks Road Winery.

Recently they welcomed Ashley and Claudia Kinnersly-King as partners in the business. Ashley is now the head chef and oversees the day-to-day operations of the bistro.

The restaurant serves classic French food using the best ingredients they can source from small passionate producers.

“Marcus Oldham College has a track record of success in providing entrepreneurial agribusiness education, research and business leadership to rural Victoria,” Marcus Oldham College’s Dr Yasmin Chalmers said.

“Events like Innovate the Plate put the spotlight on our leading agribusiness entrepreneurs and provide insight to their innovative business journey throughout the ‘paddock to plate’ process,” Dr Chalmers said.

“We aim to celebrate their wonderful products and showcase their entrepreneurial success.”
