AIRAR CAMPAIGNS TO GET KIDS OFF NAURU

October 18, 2018 BY

As part of spring’s first Aireys Inlet market, the Aireys Inlet Rural Australians for Refugees (AIRAR) stall had a focus on “Kids off Nauru”. AIRAR is supporting a national campaign to have all children on Nauru brought to Australia before Universal Children’s Day this year (November 20). Organisers said the AIRAR stall attracted wide interest and most people were stunned to learn that there were still children on Nauru. More than 70 people signed postcards denouncing the cost of offshore detention and demanding action by Australia’s political leaders.
