Aireys students spread a kind message
STUDENTS at Aireys Inlet Primary School are having a special day next week to remind everyone of the incredible power of kindness and its ability to transform communities.
Art teacher Karren Stoneham said students had explored a variety of fun and engaging activities during art classes to inspire students to spread kindness in their everyday lives.
“Creating posters and designing tie dye T-shirts with kindness messages, not only encourages our students to reflect on the importance of kindness, but also helps them develop strong, positive relationships, making the world a brighter place one kind act at a time.”
Throughout the year, students have been learning to show kindness through acknowledging and valuing each other’s strengths and, giving “push ups” or “bucket fillers” to create a positive classroom environment.
“Students have discovered that random acts of kindness are an easy way to show that kindness doesn’t have to be a grand gesture,” Ms Stoneham said.
“Simple, thoughtful acts can have a huge impact.”
As the school wraps up this year, it is celebrating Kindness Day on Tuesday, December 5 to foster a culture of compassion and empathy that can last a lifetime.
The aim is to inspire students to be kind, not just today but every day, creating a positive culture in the school and community.
“Be kind: it spreads smiles and makes people happy,” the Aireys Inlet PS school leaders said.
