Alcoa points pass with extra bike park support
THE Surf Coast Shire council has passed submission points surrounding the Anglesea draft land use plan and Alcoa freehold draft concept master plan with a point added by councillor Margot Smith in support of the bike park.
During Tuesday night’s meeting, council endorsed the submission points to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning on the Anglesea Futures Draft Land Use Plan and to Alcoa on the Alcoa Freehold Draft Concept Master Plan.
Anglesea Ward councillor Margot Smith moved a motion that funding should be found for the bike park’s relocation.
It was passed after deputy mayor Clive Goldsworthy amended the point to specify the funding should come from appropriate parties, not solely the council.
