ALL Aboard DisABILITY Support Services has officially opened the doors to its own inclusive cafe.
Marked with a community event last Thursday (August 21), Tori’s Place Cafe is ready to proudly serve the community.
The organisation has been working on the idea for around a year, with the cafe to be run All Aboard’s participants, with the support of their support workers.
All Aboard DisABILITY Support Services co-founder Kate Marshall said the organisation was excited to have the cafe open and serving the community.

“One of the girls was quite nervous, but we’ve been practicing abbreviations, like hot chocolate to HC.
“There’s little things like that we’re picking up and working on.”
Tori’s Place Cafe, located inside the All Aboard’s Boston Road site, offers a range of sweet treats, alongside barista-made coffee and hot chocolates.
The cafe was supported by a grant from the Surf Coast Shire, which allowed the not-for-profit organisation to partner with The Gordon to get the team their food handling qualifications.
Ms Marshall said the cafe offers participants an opportunity to develop new skills, interact with the community and serve a purpose.

“It’s showcasing their skills and using their skills. They were so excited to do the course through Gordon TAFE, they were really proud of themselves.”
Tori’s Place Cafe was launched with around 30 people in attendance and live entertainment from Gary and Graham from the GG’s, while special guests enjoyed the service.
The community is encouraged to drop by the cafe on Thursdays between 9.30am and 11.30am.
