An autumn afternoon at the Twilight Fair
THE second annual Twilight Fair will be hosted at St Therese Catholic Primary School by the Parents and Friends Association on Saturday March 23, one of the association’s biggest community fundraising events.
Expanding this year’s Twilight Fair to include more local businesses, the Twilight Fair will welcome amusement rides including a giant slide, Jurassic revenge, tea cups, Chair-O-Plane, bootcamp obstacle course and The Whizzer from Geelong Amusement Hire and Milo Amusements.
The afternoon and evening will be jam-packed with free entertainment, with a performance from Happy Kidz’s Rory at 3.30pm-4pm.
Once the kids take to the rides, talented local musicians will steal the spotlight with live music.
Zuster Photobooths will hand over its Cubby Photobooth for the event, capturing all the highlights from the afternoon.
A petting zoo from FunFarm 2U as well as “Get Wild & Crazy” stalls with face painting by Willow Star, braiding and coloured hair spray, lucky dip, chocolate toss and a Nerf challenge will keep the little ones entertained until the sun goes down.
Teachers from St Therese will be taking a break from the classroom to run a “dunk booth”, calling out for unlucky “dunkee” nominations and watching them squirm.
Local food and drink vans, a bar with beer and wine and “Sweet Treat Lane” complete with fair favourites including lollies, popcorn, fairy floss and snow cones will be on offer to keep hungry guests full.
Keen market-goers are asked to bring along reusable bags to shop at the homegrown plant and flower stall. Raffle prizes and a chance to win a car through the Nazareth Parish raffle are reason enough to attend!
The Fair will kick off at 3pm – 8pm at the school grounds (50 Grossmans Road, Torquay).
Fetch a picnic rug and gather some camping chairs! No BYO or glass allowed.
