The Great Ocean Road Coast Committee (GORCC) has released its final Master Plan for the Anglesea Family Caravan Park.

GORCC’s commercial business manager Daniel Aitken says the committee has big plans for the park.

“The works will greatly improve the appeal of the park and provide much needed upgrades to existing facilities, including upgrades to the camp kitchen and amenity blocks, a new adventure playground and multi-court facility, and upgrades to the pool area”.

GORCC have been in the process of developing the Master Plan since they took direct management of the park in July 2017.

The 10-year plan focuses on enhancing the experience of campers, nurturing and improving the natural environment, acknowledging the cultural heritage of the park, updating the existing amenities and developing new facilities that model sustainable practice.

Throughout early 2019, GORCC held a consultation process with stakeholders, campers and the general community. Over this time more than 1,400 individuals and groups gave feedback on the plan.

The final plan has been shaped by this feedback, as well as the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s (DELWP) Improving Equity of Access to Crown Land Caravan and Camping

Parks policy, and GORCC’s own Coastal and Marine Management Plan.
