ANGLESEA Football Netball Club was delighted to receive a $7500 donation from the Anglesea and District Community Bank to put towards the recent addition of electronic scoreboards on their netball courts.

Anglesea FNC has had a long and happy association with the community bank and the new electronic scoreboards were certainly a welcome sight for the under-15 ‘Roos’ netball side who used the asset during their match last weekend.

Community Bank Surf Coast marketing co-ordinator Kelly Turner said they were stoked to provide the club with the new resources, hoping they would be used effectively for many years to come.

“The Anglesea Football Netball Club is a huge part of our local community and we felt it was super important to continue backing them for all the great work they do in keeping our people active and engaged,” Turner said.

“To give them the grant and assist in this way is a small way of us giving back to one of our local clubs to say thankyou for keeping our community ticking.

“All clubs were hit hard during the pandemic so to provide this grant makes us very proud, and we hope that the girls get plenty of use out of the new scoreboards which look just great.”

Anglesea Football Netball Club President Jamie McKenzie said the club continued to be humbled by the support of the local bank, citing that the establishment had provided long term assistance to the club across a range of projects.
