IN JUST four months, the APCO Foundation has donated more than $100,000 to communities across the state.

Between December 2024 and March 2025, the foundation supported communities with $134,734 in grants, including across the Geelong region.

The APCO Foundation works to help people in the communities around their stores, with each location given a grant for a range of projects, families or organisations that need support.

Around the region the foundation has contributed to Anam Cara House, Geelong Youth Engagement, Read the Play, Story Dogs and The Outpost.

Anam Cara House received $5,000 in gift cards for guests to enjoy outings and experiences.

A family in Winchelsea also received $10,000 after they lost everything in a housefire.

The foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting organisations with monthly donations also continued with Cottage By the Sea, Feed Me Bellarine, Meli Emergency Relief and Geelong Food Share.

The APCO Coffee Caravan has also visited The Outpost, where guests could enjoy coffee, desserts and pizza.

Funds raised by the foundation come from within Victorian communities, with a record $493,132 raised in 2024, before being allocated on a monthly basis by the board.

Race for a Reason will take place today (Friday May 9) as the latest fundraising event for the foundation.

Held at the Geelong Racing Club, the fundraiser will include a day of lunching and racing with a Tutti Frutti theme.
