App to provide one-stop shop to Anglesea
FINDING out the best place to eat, where the local footy team is playing or the nicest walk around town just got a whole lot easier as the Anglesea 3230 app was launched last week.
Trenton Little is the man behind the smartphone application, putting to use his local knowledge and hard work to provide a one-stop shop for everything in the area.
Little has lived in Anglesea, and along the coast, his entire life and in combination with a web developer is hoping Anglesea 3230 can provide locals and tourists information about dining out, places to see and history of the town, with a focus on supporting local businesses.
“I’ve had a few ideas for quite some time and I’ve lived down here my whole life … so I certainly know the ins and outs of the town,” Mr Little said.
“The locals do support the town well but the reality is a major part of this town is made up of people that don’t live here permanently.
“The whole idea is for locals and part-time locals to engage in the one place and keep an eye on what is happening … and promoting the local businesses.
“For me, it’s purely about benefitting the town and the community.
“The town means a lot to me.”
Mr Little thought up the idea in June and has since been working hard to contact businesses wishing to be involved and producing the other relevant information for the app.
He said he hoped the app would only grow as more local businesses got involved and said the platform was appropriate for all users.
“I wanted to make it easy for everyone to use whether you’re 80 years old or 20 years old, one platform that everyone can use.
“The more people that come on board the better the app will work.”
Anglesea 3230 is available in the App Store or Google Play.
