Application exhibited for Inverleigh wind farm
THE Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) has officially begun exhibition of plans for a wind farm proposed to be built near Inverleigh.
The application contains plans to develop a wind energy facility with 16 wind turbines up to a maximum height of 200 metres, as well as the removal of native vegetation.
The facility, to be built seven kilometres south of Inverleigh, will generate up to 76.8 megawatts of electricity.
DELWP will not decide on the application before August 20.
The application can be viewed at DELWP’s office in East Melbourne, as well as at the council offices of the Surf Coast Shire in Torquay and Golden Plains Shire in Bannockburn.
