Applications opening for Quick Response Grants
APPLICATIONS for the Surf Coast Shire’s latest grants program are set to open next week.
The Quick Response Grants Program will open on July 1 and has a total of $25,000 available to boost community-focused programs.
“We encourage community organisations to consider submitting their community-led projects,” Cr Rose Hodge said.
“Maybe some equipment is required to support their work, or they have another need or opportunity which has arisen.”
Applications will be assessed monthly and remain open until the allocated budget has been exhausted each financial year.
“The assessment process is designed to provide quick responses and support, enabling community to take action contributing to our thriving Surf Coast Shire community and environment,” Cr Hodge said.
Up to $3,000 is available for groups and organisations to make minor equipment purchases, upgrades or replacement.
Eligible organisations include charitable organisations, incorporated not-for-profit groups, schools and kindergartens, if the activity isn’t part of the standard curriculum, and more.
“We are looking for clever and creative projects that increase social connection, inclusion, safety, wellbeing or health or promote community art-projects that have cultural and environmental outcomes and help upskill and equip local volunteers,” Cr Hodge said.
There are several requirements for those applying, including all projects and activities must take place in the Surf Coast Shire.
