Aussie Flag competes Tour of Duty

An Australian flag that has done a tour of duty over the Middle East has arrived at the Torquay RSL. The flag, originally donated by Corangamite federal member Sarah Henderson, was carried on board a Royal Australian Air Force E-7A Wedgetail airborne early warning and control aircraft from No. 2 Squadron for a number of missions as part of Operation Okra.  Flight Lieutenant Adam Johnston (left) decided that as the flag came from the Geelong region, it would be appropriate to donate it to the Torquay RSL – he is seen here presenting the flag to Torquay RSL secretary Darryl Topp and Torquay RSL member Mike Johnston.
