Bellbrae fixes it up at first Repair Café meeting

THE fix-it-yourself movement in the Surf Coast is spreading, with Bellbrae hosting its first meeting of the community-driven Repair Cafe initiative that sees volunteers share their skills and fix items.

Repair Café Surf Coast was based in Aireys Inlet last year, saving an estimated 523 kilograms of items from landfill, and has expanded in 2018 to events in Bellbrae and Anglesea.

Coming Repair Café meetings will be held at the Anglesea Memorial Hall on April 8, in Bellbrae on May 6, in Aireys Inlet on August 5, in Anglesea on September 9, in Bellbrae on October 7, in Aireys Inlet on November 11 and in Anglesea on December 2.
