Bells Beach 50 Year Storm chats: Jack Perry

IN THE lead-up to the Bells Beach 50-Year Storm in memory of local surfer Shaun Brooks, the Times News Group will be catching up with some of the invitees who have received the honour from their peers and the committee to surf the biggest waves this winter.

This week’s interview features local legend Jack Perry.

Perry talk about his involvement in the maiden 2021 Bells Beach 50 Year Storm event and details the amazing day that it turned out to be as he welcomed his third child a mere few hours after surfing in the event.

Perry also provides some mental health tips and advice for listeners and gives us a first hand recount of the fabled Winki caves episode with tennis superstar and good friend Mark Philippoussis.
