Bells Beach 50 Year Storm chats: Jordie Campbell
IN THE lead-up to the Bells Beach 50 Year Storm in memory of local surfer Shaun Brooks, the Times News Group will be catching up with some of the invitees who have received the honour from their peers and the committee to surf the biggest waves this winter.
This week, we caught up with 12-time Victorian Indigenous Surfing Champion and Surfing Victoria indigenous aquatics officer Jordie Campbell.
During the interview, we detail Campbell’s stoke to be involved in the prestigious event, as well as chat about his upbringing and how he got into surfing at Sandy Point.
Campbell also provides some mental health tips and advice as well as expands on his role with Surfing Victoria and the role models who have shaped him into the man that he is today.
