REIGNING Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach champion Isabella Nichols will make a special appearance at this year’s Great Ocean Road Women’s Surf Festival.
The Sunshine Coast surfer will attend the festival on November 15 and sit down for a Q&A on her story from being a junior through to winning a world tour event at Bells Beach.
Nichols will also be hosting a surf session for identified up and coming female surfers through the Surfing Australia UNLSHD Program that aims to identify, nurture, and develop the next generation of Australian female surfing talent.
“I’m really excited to be heading to Victoria for the Great Ocean Road Women’s Surf Festival,” she said.
“It’s such a special opportunity to connect with other women who share a deep love for the ocean, exchange stories, and build new friendships through surfing.”
Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson welcomed the addition of Nichols to the festival lineup.
“She is no stranger to Victoria having visited regularly for the past 10 years and now being one of the few surfers to win the bell,” he said.
“This will be a fantastic opportunity for all female surfers to learn from her story and get the chance to meet her at the event.”
The broader Great Ocean Road Women’s Surf Festival schedule is now live on the event website and features a range of exciting workshops and opportunities for women of all ages.
