Big guns turn out for Anglesea Netball Club fundraiser
THE Anglesea Lions Club coordinated a sportsperson night recently at the Anglesea Hotel to raise money for new seating and shelters at the Anglesea Netball Courts.
The netball club needed to raise $9,500, with the balance of the cost of the project to be provided by the Surf Coast Shire.
The night was a great success with 150 people attending and listening to guest speakers Tegan Phillip, Patrick Dangerfield and Andrew Bews being interviewed by Coodabeen Champion Ian Cover.
The night raised $8,000. The remaining $1,500 of the target will be made up jointly by the Anglesea Lions Club and Anglesea Community Bank.
The seating and shelters are now being installed at the courts.
