Big red man on fire during Torquay and Jan Juc run

THIS year’s CFA Santa Run in Torquay and Jan Juc on Christmas Eve was the best yet, with a large number of people turning out at each stop.

Torquay Fire Brigade Santa Run Coordinator Louise Turner said the turnout for the fourth year was much improved on the previous three years.

“This is only our 4th year of doing this and it has been a little slow in taking off. This year we had so many people at each Santa stop, Santa was running late.”

She said the brigade was looking forward to making it even bigger next year.

“We really want to get the community and their local fire brigade engaged and having fun. We attend very serious fire/incidents in and around Torquay throughout the year, so it’s great to have a positive towards the end of the year.”
