Blue Gum’s visit to bring services to you

SERVICES Australia is bringing its Mobile Services Centre (MSC) “Blue Gum” to the Geelong region from Tuesday, April 9, offering locals easy access to a range of services and payments.
These include Centrelink, Medicare, National Disability Insurance Scheme and Department of Veterans’ Affairs services.
When visiting the 20-tonne “Blue Gum” MSC, people can get face-to-face service and tailored support with:
- New claims for most Centrelink payments
- Updating information in Services Australia records
- Confirming documents and supporting information, such as certifying copies of birth certificates
- Access to a self-service terminal
- Using online accounts and Express Plus mobile apps
- Registering for a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) online account
- Lodging DVA forms and supporting documents, and
- Connecting with DVA and support services such as Open Arms.
People can also learn about:
- Medicare transactions
- Medicare registrations
- How financial matters may affect payments
- Payment and service options to suit your needs
- Rural payment entitlements for eligible farmers, and
- Social work support and referrals.
During its tour of south-west Victoria, “Blue Gum” will visit:
- Queenscliff on Tuesday, April 9 near Queenscliff Hub, Hesse Street (9.30 am to 4pm)
- Anglesea on Wednesday, April 10 at the Anglesea Shopping Centre car park, Great Ocean Road (9am to 4pm)
- Aireys Inlet on Thursday, April 11 at the Aireys Inlet Community Centre carpark, Great Ocean Road (9am to 4pm)
- Lorne on Friday, April 12 near Lorne Baths, Grove Road (9am to 4pm)
- Apollo Bay on April 15 near the skatepark, Great Ocean Road (9am to 3:30pm).
