Blvd Torquay sees bidding to $1.6 million

Property Exchange Group directors Alex and Deb Lyons on site at Blvd Torquay for the estate’s final release.
With the perfect backdrop combining the Jan Juc hinterland and ocean views, at the gateway to Bells, this final auction held onsite was once again conducted by energetic celebrity auctioneer Phillip Kingston who entertained the crowd of close to 100 people.
Lot 10 was a standout with two extremely persistent bidders exchanging bids until the hammer dropped at $1.6 million to a family from Melbourne, who intend to build their forever home there.
Lot 2 was initially passed in at $901,000 but was negotiated immediately after the auction to be sold to celebrity Bells Beach locals Murray and Nicky Bingham.
Lot 5, now on the market, was passed in on the night and now remains the only available lot left to purchase in Blvd Torquay.
Property Exchange Group director Alex Lyons said that the result for Lot 10 was simply amazing and very exciting for everyone.
“The atmosphere on the night was mesmerising as all who attended could see and absorb the magic of Blvd Torquay as the sun set,” Mr Lyons said.
“Over the five releases, which saw more than 700 enquiries and 31 opens, Lot 10 achieved an unprecedented $1.6 million.
“We are over the moon with the result and now look forward to purchasers being able to build their forever home, on a blank canvas, when titles are set to be issued mid-2018.”
