Boardriders luncheon to head to Bells
TORQUAY Boardriders’ Easter Luncheon for this year will return to Bells Beach in the lead up to this year’s Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.
The event will take place on April 16 on the World Surf League VIP deck, and raise funds to support the club’s development programs and running costs.
It will feature special guests from the world surfing tour, elite sports personalities and local legends.
The event will also have plenty of auction and raffle prizes up for grabs.
Torquay Boardriders Club president Tully Wylie said the club was absolutely overjoyed to again be given a permit to run at Bells Beach.
“We are confirmed to be out there looking over the Bells bowl, so a huge thanks goes to the World Surf League for that.

“We are really looking to running another big fundraiser. It’s so beneficial for the club and supports our whole year.”
He said the event on average had raised more than $20,000 for the club each year.
“Honestly, any profit is great, so to raise that amount again would be a huge help.
“It’s helped us buy a new van, a new speaker system, run fun social events, send teams across Australia to represent us at events and support our juniors in competing at the Australian Titles.
“Really, we are well set up for the next 10 years thanks to this event.”
Guest announcements and ticket sales will both be made available in the next month.
