Bomboras set for a revamp
ONE of Torquay’s favourite food and entertainment hubs is set for a makeover, utilising the winter break as a time to refresh and kickstart a new fresh look for the business.
Coastal haven Bomboras begun renovations last week, with co-owners Tom McGrath and Josh Friend set on improving a range of aspects across the business, allowing a for a range of customers to enjoy the breathtaking Esplanade location.
“We are really excited to give the space a new revamp and refresh to continue bringing up the standards of our offering to our community and visitors,” McGrath said.
“We’ve got a great opportunity to make the venue more functional and comfortable for our guests, with a change in layout allowing us to make a lovely environment that can attract all demographics.”
McGrath and Friend said it was the right time to give the venue a makeover that would result in a more functional indoor space.
“The layout of the kitchen and bar will certainly be set out in an easier and more accessible layout for our staff and our customers,” Friend said.
“We will be making the venue a bit smaller, allowing us to give the customer a really strong experience that is tailored to them.
“We know how busy Bomboras can get, so the seating plan and floor plan will certainly take the patronage numbers into account.”
Bomboras announced to their customers a fortnight ago that the renovations would occur, with the new makeover taking between six and eight weeks to complete.
“Our customers, when they saw the fences and the construction, were thinking that we might have been closing forever!” McGrath said.
“That is certainly not the case, we aren’t closing, we are just taking the usual winter break and extending that to complete the renovations.
“We are excited about the plans for the new venue and look forward to bringing it to the community shortly.”
