Book fair needs your unwanted volumes

December 15, 2017 BY

THE Torquay Rotary Club is preparing for its annual Book Fair next month, and is calling for people to go through their shelves and make some donations.

Organisers say now is an ideal time for people having a spring clean of the house before Christmas to clear out their unwanted books.

All proceeds from sales at the fair over the Australia Day weekend will go to funding of local, national and international Rotary projects, so your unwanted books will be turned into funding for initiatives that help people around the world.

About 10,000 books are required to offer for sale over the weekend.

Rhonda Anchen is co-ordinating collection of books for the fair.

Phone John on 0405 146 443 for pickup, or books can be dropped off at Tyrepower Torquay, 4 Winki Way, Torquay six days a week (Monday-Saturday).

The Torquay Roary Book Fair will be held from January 25-28 at the Scout Hall in Spring Creek Reserve.
