Book Fair to return for ninth chapter
The Torquay Rotary Book Fair will take place across three days (January 17 to January 19) at Surf Coast Secondary College in Torquay North.
Book lovers will have the opportunity to purchase an assortment of titles for $2 each, or a bag of 15 books for $10.
Fiction, non-fiction, romance, children’s picture, sport, biographies and plenty more will be up for grabs.
All funds raised from the event will be channeled into local causes including Torquay Community House and educational awards across all primary schools in the Surf Coast Shire.
Torquay Rotary Club member Neil Henderson said excitement was sky-high among their team to make a difference to those in need.
“We are really excited to run the Book Fair again. This will be our ninth one.
“We’ve got another great selection of books.
“A huge thanks to Surf Coast Secondary College for having us again.
“Don’t miss out on a bargain. Be there, then go home, relax and have a good read.”
Mr Henderson said the club was also rapt to have the support of Geelong Story Dogs for its 2025 fair.
The local service organisation will be bringing a reading dog to Torquay on January 18 to assist young children with their reading.
This will take place from 10am-12pm.
The Torquay Rotary Book Fair will be open 9am-4pm daily. For more information, head to the Rotary Club of Torquay Facebook page.
