Bowl up for a good cause in Anglesea
ANGLESEA Bowling Club and Great Ocean Road Real Estate have teamed up to roll out a charity event for a good cause.
The Great Ocean Road Real Estate Charity Barefoot Bowls Day is being run this Sunday, April 2 to assist the Anglesea Lions Club Family Care Charity.
The event is being touted for “champions, chumps and barefoot bowlers [to] bring your friends for an afternoon of fun”, with all welcome.
As well as the bowling action in a more casual format on the greens, the day will include raffle prizes and silent auctions.
Teams can be registered beforehand (teams of three people are preferred), but individual entries are also welcome.
Entries can be made on the notice board sheet at the clob or by contacting Paula Fowler from Great Ocean Road Real Estare by text on 0407 031 138 or by email at [email protected] by no later than 11am on Sunday.
The Anglesea Bowling Club regularly hosts bowling events for groups to use as fundraisers, including the annual Lions Club of Anglesea Ron Leeman Charity Bowls Day, which raised more than $1,000 for Parkinsons Victoria when it was last held in February 2022.
The Great Ocean Road Real Estate Charity Barefoot Bowls Day will be held at the Anglesea Bowing Club, 15 Cameron Road, Anglesea, on Sunday, April 2 starting from 12.30pm.
Entry is $10, and includes bowling and nibbles, with drinks at bar prices.
