A POPULAR charity art show will return to the Surf Coast next month with the aim of raising $30,000 to support a special cause close to home.

The All About Art exhibition will be held from December 6 to December 8 and raise vital funds for Geelong based brain cancer research organisation Peace of Mind.

It will feature works from more than 15 artists across mediums including 2D, 3D, textiles, landscaping, painting, drawing, glass art and ceramics, jewellery and metals.

Twenty per cent of all artwork sales will be directed to Peace of Mind, while 100 per cent of proceeds from the headline cocktail and art function on the Saturday evening will support the cause.

Event curator Roe Clapham said the event is “back bigger and better than ever.”

“We’ve got some original artists returning for their third year, and some new ones too which is very exciting.

“We continue to partner with two other charities to help support her salary to travel to other regional areas.

“Tickets are on sale for the headline event now, and are sure to go quick.,

“Last year we raised over $15,000 for Peace of Mind, a truly great outcome. We are hoping to go beyond that this year.”

Ms Clapham said the success of the event has helped Peace of Mind hire an additional navigator – a nurse to look after patients and their families at home.

“The one we’ve been able to fund now covers the Bendigo and Ballarat region. It’s pretty exciting we can have her two days a week out there.

“We are hoping she can go full time. To do so, we need to almost double our donations, so $30,000. Donations of any kind are always welcome.”

The cocktail and art evening will be on December 7 from 5pm to 9pm. Admission is $75.
