Call Santa from Telstra payphones

CHILDREN are invited to make their wishes come true by speaking to Santa Claus on Telstra payphones all over the region.

Until Christmas Eve, children of all ages can phone Santa for free by dialling # HO HO HO (#46 46 46) on more than 14,000 payphones countrywide.

From telling Santa what they want for Christmas to chatting about their favourite holiday tradition, children will be able to have a fun and engaging conversation with Santa at any time.

The initiative also teaches children who may have not used a handset before how to use a payphone.

Telstra executive Amy Childs said the telco was excited about helping to spread cheer all over the country.

“Through Telstra’s Free Calls to Santa hotline, kids not only get a festive experience but also a fun, hands-on way to learn an essential skill.

“For younger generations raised on smartphones, a payphone with a handset can feel unfamiliar, and teaching kids how to use one can be an important lifeline in an emergency.”

The big man in the red suit said he couldn’t wait to hear from all the children across Australian this Christmas season.

“Ho ho ho! Whether you’re asking about the reindeer’s favourite snacks or the North Pole weather, I’m here to chat and share some festive magic.”
