CARS COLLIDE HEAD ON AT THE ESPLANADE
A MAN was taken to hospital suffering chest injuries after a head-on collision between two cars on the Torquay waterfront last week. Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash between a black BMW four-wheel drive and a silver Mitsubishi station wagon on The Esplanade between Gilbert and Anderson streets on Friday at 11.50am. An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man aged in his 20s suffered chest injuries and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition, and two women were assessed at the scene as experiencing shock but did not require transport to hospital.
