Cars collide in Mount Duneed
POLICE are seeking witnesses to a twocar collision in Mount Duneed on Monday that resulted in both vehicles ending up on their sides.
The collision, between an allegedly stolen Holden Commodore ute and a white Honda CRV SUV, took place at the intersection of Ghazeepore and Mount Duneed roads at about 6.30am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics assessed three people at the scene.
The 16-year old passenger in the ute suffered suspected head, chest, pelvis and abdominal injuries and was flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.
The ute’s driver, a 15-year-old boy from Lara, was transported by ambulance to University Hospital Geelong with arm injuries and grazes but in a stable condition.
The driver of the SUV, a 48-year-old woman from Torquay, suffered soft tissue injuries and grazes and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Greater Geelong Highway Patrol, and witnesses or anyone with information is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
