SOCIAL media sensation Catman (AKA Kentaro Jin) has arrived on the Surf Coast as he sets himself for the last stretch of his whopping walk across Australia.

After battering down the hatches in Lorne due to wild weather, Mr Jin arrived safely with his trolley in tow at GROW Cafe in Anglesea earlier today (Friday, October 24).

Catman has been walking across the southern part of Australia on his way to Sydney for the past two years in a bid to become a “real-life hero in this world”.

Laser-focused with a strong mindset; Jin hopes to inspire others to attack life’s challenges and to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Mr Jin said the support from the Australian community continued to give him strength to deliver on his mission of lighting fires of hope wherever he goes.

“It’s been an amazing experience, and I’ve really been feeling the Australian love, I’m just so happy.

“Every day everyone has just been so kind, I’ve got the beautiful sea to look at and the city!

“Anglesea has been the best place so far, it’s really beautiful and really good.”

The social media sensation has been walking with his cart in tow for more than two years.

Catman has been taking his more than 451,000 Instagram followers on the journey with him, documenting it all on his Go Pro.

“I just want to show off the kindness… I want to make Catman the Movie… it’s my dream,” he said.

A GoFundMe to support Catman’s walk has already attracted more than $20,000 in donations.

He is also raising walking to raise money for children’s cancer,” Mr Jin said.

“I’m so surprised… people have been so generous giving me money.

“It seems to be the Australian culture, and I definitely couldn’t expect this from the start.”

Catman hopes to arrive in Sydney in one month, bringing his more than two years of walking to an end.

Next, he plans to walk across America, India, and then many more countries around the world.
