A BIT of Christmas neighbourly cheer has transformed one Torquay home’s nature strip, into one of the reindeers’ favourite stops tonight.

Centreside Drive resident Terry Nairn brought some hay from his farm and gave to his over-the-road neighbours, the Cartons, to help them create some Christmas Eve snacks for not only jolly old St Nick but also his reindeer.

The Cartons – Adam, Jade and their children Koa, Reef and Trey – have set up a chalkboard reading “Santa please feed your reindeers here and have a beer and crackers for you!” with all the items (including a bucket of water and a handful of candy canes) laid out for easy access.

The three children are hopeful Santa enjoys their efforts, but said they were so excited for tomorrow’s Christmas Day celebrations that they have forgotten almost everything they had put on their Christmas lists.
