Characters sell the calendars
A LOCAL newsagent has been awarded for its 2018 Leunig Calendar display.
The calendar was released in November and Fairfax Media again opened a competition to newsagents when the calendar was released to help promote sales.
Newsagents were encouraged to create a unique point of sale display for a chance to share in more than $5,000 worth of prizes.
Anglesea News and Lotto received a major prize for their entry into the competition for a second year in a row.
Corinne Nigro from Anglesea News and Lotto was excited with the win, both for the store and her team.
“We won a major prize of a $500 prepaid VISA gift card which will be well utilised by the wonderful retail team,” Corinne said.
“This prize comes back-to-back as we won the major prize last year as well!”
Anglesea News and Lotto staff opted to dress up as Leunig calendar characters, helping to sell all their calendar stock.
