Jan Juc youngster Lucius White’s tribute to retiring WSL surfer Mick Fanning has been judged one of the best in a competition run by Rip Curl. The surf label asked people to show their visual appreciation of the four-time Rip Curl Pro winner along with the hashtag #cheersmick. After considering all the entries – #cheersmick was used more than 20,000 times on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter – Rip Curl announced that this photo of Lucius jumping in front of his house was the worthy winner of one of seven rash vests signed by Fanning himself. Lucius is the son of surf photographer Ky White (better known as Kingklips).
