THE REGION’S favourite breweries saluted International Beer Day last week by providing a range of beer specials for people to come together to enjoy.

The beer industry generates an estimated $16 billion in revenue each year, while 85 per cent of our consumed beer is grown here, made here and consumed here in Australia.

On Friday, Sou’West provided guests with $5 pots and $7 pints on any type of beer, whilst Bells Beach Brewing had their own 2 for 1 special, promoting people to come out and enjoy the day with their friends and family.

4 Pines Torquay and Blackmans Brewery also raised a glass to the occasion and encouraged people to grab a beer and give a big cheers to the hands that go into forming our Australian brews.

While it’s been a difficult time for the brewing and hospitality sector, by the looks of Friday’s influx of crowds at breweries, the industry is certainly bouncing back in a big way.
