Christmas comes to The Quay

TORQUAY came together again for a night of celebration at this year’s Christmastime in the Quay.

The holiday fun event and fundraiser for not-forprofit charities at Pirate Park in The Quay estate featured games, face painting, a jumping castle, performances from The Carolvanners and One Spirit African Drumming and Dance, and a visit from Santa.

The eight winners of the decoration competition, and their nominated charities, were:
• 34 Longshore Street – Starlight foundation
• 4 Nautical Rise – Kids Plus foundation
• 12 Wave Crescent – Torquay and District Men’s Shed
• 64 Centreside Drive – Multiple Sclerosis Australia
• 16 Marine Drive – Torquay Surf Life Saving Cub
• 19 Inshore Drive – Motor Neuron Disease Association
• 11 Inshore Drive – Motor Neuron Disease Association
• 27 Nautical Rise – White Ribbon Australia.
