Christmas festivities on the way to Bunnings Torquay
BUNNINGS Torquay is anticipating more than 300 local families to turn out for an annual Christmas Night Market next week.
The December 7 event will see Bunning’s timber yard department turned into a festive wonderland, with free face painting, ice cream, coffee, visits from Santa and an animal farm.
Local community groups including the Torquay CFA, Torquay Lions Club, Warralily Community Garden, Torquay Scouts, and Torquay SLSC will also be hosting activations and workshops.
Bunnings Torquay activities organiser, Sally Smyth said she looked forward to seeing the Christmas spirit on display.
“I’ve been going to these wonderful events as a support for many years, and this year I’ve had the great pleasure of putting it all together!
“It’s a fantastic community event, with plenty of great activities for all members of the family.
“Locals will be able to catch up with Santa, have train rides, do some karate workshops and much more.
“We are stoked to have so many community groups on board too, who will definitely help to make the event a success.”
The Christmas Night Market will run from 6pm till 8pm.
