THE Greater Geelong Christmas Adventure is under way, and a clever Leopold resident has cracked the code.

Since December 1, adventurers have been out enjoying the festive decorations at each of the 24 locations across the municipality.

Each location incorporates a clue, and once all 24 clues are collected, adventurers are asked to guess the mystery phrase by putting the clues together

Code-crackers can enter the draw to win one of four very special Christmas hampers from Darriwill Farm in Highton.

The inaugural winner is Jenni Harper, who received her winning hamper from Geelong mayor Cr Stephanie Asher last week.

Ms Harper is set for Christmas with her hamper containing Christmas pudding and chocolates, yoyo biscuits, jams and relishes, wafers, liquorice, coconut ice and lots more.

The produce has been sourced mostly from the Geelong region and showcases the culinary variety of the region.

“I’m thrilled to be the first winner of the Greater Geelong Christmas Adventure! The prize hamper I was given today is amazing and I can’t
wait to get home and see what other goodies it contains.

“When this new activity launched, I had a great time looking at the various locations in the interactive map. Then, we jumped in the car and visited a number of locations near us to find the clues.”

There is still time to crack the code and enter the draw to win your very own Christmas hamper of delicious goodies.

“Congratulations to Jenni for working out the mystery phrase and being our very first winner,” Cr Asher said.

“The Greater Geelong Christmas Adventure is a new element in Geelong’s Christmas program and I encourage people to get out and enjoy the fabulous decorations, including the giant Christmas postcards and the 3D chalk art around the municipality.”
