Comedy for a cause returns to Jan Juc SLSC
ENJOY a night of fun and laughter at the Jan Juc SLSC while supporting them in raising much needed funds for the 2024-2025 season.
Comedy for a Cause is returning to the club on Friday, July 26 with an impressive line-up of comedians.
Making up the entertainment for the night is David Quirk, Matt O’Neil and Mimi Shaheen, who have all performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Known for his appearances on ABC TV, David Quirk has starred in Rosehaven, Please Like Me and Sammy J & Randy and Problems.
Matt O’Neill has opened for the like of Steve Hughes and brings his experience from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Kings of Comedy to the stage.
Rounding out the trio is Mimi Shaheen, a RAW Comedy finalist and the Kings of Comedy Best Newcomer in 2018 recipient.
Jan Juc SLSC president Brett Thompson said he was looking forward to the night.
“The club received such great feedback from club and community members last year about how fantastic it was to be able to attend a local event and see comedians of this calibre.
“Not only did everyone have a fun night with a lot of laughs, but it raised much needed funds for the Jan Juc SLSC.
“We are hoping to get an even larger turnout for this year’s event.”
Comedy for a Cause was established in 2013 by Matthew Wakefiled with the intention of raising money for non for profit organisations in an entertaining fashion.
Doors to the Jan Juc event open at 7.30pm for an 8pm show, which is suitable for those over the age of 14.
Tickets are $40 per person.
