Commerce Torquay networking events kick off for 2025

COMMERCE Torquay is continuing its series of business networking events in 2025, with the first one taking place on Wednesday, February 19.

Held at Bomboras Torquay and sponsored by Coulter Legal, the event invites businesses of all sizes to head along and connect with other local business professionals where they can exchange ideas and discover new opportunities.

Commerce Torquay president Sarah Minter said the networking event is a chance for local businesses to kickstart the year.

“They’re designed to be a really informal opportunity to network – there will be a brief presentation with the sponsors, with Coulter Legal and Commerce Torquay,” she said.

 

“Otherwise, it’s going to be a case of a delicious breakfast and a chance to network with other businesses based in Torquay.”

Commerce Torquay hopes that people will be able to form new connections and continue any relationships they have had in the past, cementing established connections.

Ms Minter said the group holds the networking events because it wants a thriving business community and it’s an opportunity to celebrate the businesses.

 

“We want to provide these opportunities for businesses based around the area to build their profile and have an opportunity to thrive, to ensure that we have the ability to access these services locally,” she said. “If you’ve got one of the newer businesses, it might be an opportunity for them to meet other people within the business community in Torquay.”

The event will run from 7.30am until 9am. Tickets are free for Commerce Torquay members and $30 for non-members.
