Community Bank Winchelsea reopens in revamped branch
The Community Bank Winchelsea, a branch of Bendigo Bank, will reopen on September 25th in a newly revamped and redesigned branch.
The bank is proud to retain its physical bricks and mortar branch in a time where others are going online, and thanks its customers for their ongoing support. The renovation ensures that the building meets the needs of its customers, staff, and community for many more years to come.
The bank is also living in line with the values of the Community Bank by feeding into the prosperity of the community by recruiting local tradesmen and suppliers wherever possible. The local trades in the area have demonstrated their expertise previously in the bank’s Anglesea build in 2021, and the bank is proud to be able to continue to support local when it matters most.
The branch will be completed with an open floor plan consisting of a boardroom that could be used by the community and offices for private customer conversations. It will be modern and fresh, but the old-fashioned service will remain.
The previous full rebuild was completed 10 years ago, and at the completion of this year’s build it will be only 1 month from the 20th anniversary of the branch’s official opening date in 2003.
In the 2022/23 financial year, the Community Banks at Winchelsea, Anglesea, and Lorne contributed a record year of $1.2 million to the community, which takes the official tally to $4.2 million. This is before you count the extra financial benefits of local employment, local shareholder returns, and co-investment with local governments and agencies towards large projects.
The bank looks forward to welcoming its customers back to the new and improved branch on September 25th.
