BELLBRAE Primary School is preparing for its annual Mayfair fundraiser on Sunday May 5, which will see thousands of community members from the Surf Coast and surrounding areas take to the school grounds.

This year’s Mayfair will play host to food stalls, entertainment, a silent auction, children’s activities and much more.

“The Bellbrae Primary School Mayfair is much loved and looked forward to by thousands of visitors each year,” school administrator Belinda Bassi said.

“Our main attraction is the spectacular Victorian Axemen’s Wood Chopping competition, which attracts the best axemen in the state, competing for $3,500 in prize money.

“Our Mayfair is a traditional fair, which includes amazing cooked food – coffee and cakes, soup, veggie burgers, chutneys and preserves, Jimmy Wong’s dims sims, hot chips, pulled pork rolls, hot dogs and more.

“We have an amazing selection of donated goods up for bids in the silent auction and great prizes on the spinning wheel and our raffle with $1,111 prize money.”

The 2019 Mayfair will feature an entertainment stage, which will run all day, with talented local musicians stealing the show while parents enjoy a drink at the stage’s neighbouring Bullet Bar.

An animal nursery, inflatable activity centre, jumping castles, Chair O Plane, Zap Zone, face painting and other activities suitable for all ages will keep the kids occupied as the festivities kick off around the school.

Bellbrae Primary School is located at 50 School Road, Bellbrae. Mayfair will begin at 10am and run until 3pm this Sunday May 5.

For more information, phone Belinda or Judy in the school’s office on 5261 2660.
